I've caught what's catching...

Like so many others on the internet, I've finally gotten myself into Homestuck. I say "gotten myself into", as I feel that Homestuck isn't something you can casually enjoy, but must allow oneself to become completely immersed in as to fully understand all that it is and what's going on.
I'm on the beginning of Act 5, having skipped nothing, and I feel like I've got a pretty good grasp of what's going on (now, anyway). HannahSheep says this will change eventually.

As far as cons go, I'm planning to attend NebrasKon in November, which I'm pretty excited about. I've never been but I hear good things about it, so that's promising. I'll probably be bringing my Matryoshka Gumi and I'm planning to make this version of Rose Lalonde.
I got my Kobato wig in the mail before Anime Iowa, but I've had no time to work on her cosplay, let alone the money. She's on hold at the moment unitl I can pull together enough monies to make the version of her that's my favorite.
I got a new job which I start tomorrow (YAY!!!), which comes with pay a increase, so perhaps after the rest of my wedding details get ironed out I can get back to cosplay. I'd still like to go to ACen next year, but I'll just have see if that works out. So far it's iffy...

It's hot! Already. Boo.
While trying to make plans as to who to cosplay, when, and what version, I believe I've landed on the two I feel most confident in being able to complete prior to Anime Iowa; previous years have taught me that me+humidity+wig = melting, so I'm trying my best to avoid that this year. ;3
Though I may regret it, I'm going to finish up my Matryoshka Gumi (ugh, long sleeves. This will probably mostly be worn inside and in the morning/night when it's cooler!), as the lovely debulawashere is going to be Matyoshka Kaito. I'm also going to attempt this version of Kobato, provided I get my wig this time.
Afterwards, I will probably be taking a break from cosplay for awhile. I'm getting married in January next year, so I've go lots to plan before then! 8D After that I'm planning on trying to go back to school (possibly for graphic design; the toss up is between that and pharmacy school. Yes I know they're on very different ends of the spectrum~) and who knows where I'll be once we've gotten settled? I will still try to attend cons, because I'd miss you guys too much if I didn't.

Con plans! :D

I'll be attending a few new cons this year, which I'm pretty excited about! I'll be at Anime Milwaukee in a few weeks visiting MynaPyrrhuloxia. I'm also working out a vacation weekend with my boyfriend that will include visiting ACen on Saturday, but we'll have to see if that pans out or not. (Not exactly a "new" con, but I haven't been in about three years so I feel like it's new! I heard it's expanded quite a bit in the last few years.)
I'll be at Anime Iowa, of course, as well, and I'm thinking of trying out a new con for fall/winter time. Any suggestions?
No Detour this year.
It will be the first time I've missed one in nine years, but I feel it's time. The past few years haven't been as fun as previous years have been, and I think taking a year break will make the next year more entertaining. XD (Or something...)
Anyway! Just two or three new cosplays planned; I've almost got Matryoshka Gumi completed, and I'm planning Kobato for Anime Iowa. If I've got time/money, I'll be making Cooking Mama as well.
